FAQ

Questions founders ask before they sign up

Twelve answers to the things that come up most: how the vault works, what the Trust Score actually measures, where the affiliate money goes, and what happens when a deal you bought goes dark.

Is GrabLTD free?+
Yes. The catalog, search, migration guides, and the Vault are all free. We make money from affiliate links — when you click "Get Deal" and buy a lifetime deal, the partner (AppSumo, Dealify, StackSocial, etc.) pays us a small commission. You pay the same price either way. No paywall, no "pro tier", no upsell.
What is the Vault and why would I use it?+
The Vault is a private tracker for every LTD you own. Add a deal after you buy it (or forward your receipt to your personal GrabLTD email alias — it auto-detects the tool and asks you to confirm). We track renewal dates for any monthly subs, project your savings vs paying monthly, and surface migration guides when one of your tools has a credible LTD alternative. It's a tracker, not a wishlist.
What is the Trust Score?+
It's a 0–100 score we're building to help you judge how safe a deal is to commit to — broadly, how active the team is, how often the product is updated, and how it handles support and refunds. It's an upcoming feature and isn't live yet, so you won't see a number on deal pages right now. When it ships, the goal is simple: help you tell a "buy with confidence" deal from a "read the refund policy first" one.
Do I pay more if I buy through your link?+
No. Affiliate commissions are paid by the partner, not added to your price. We mark every affiliate link with a disclosure so you can see exactly where the commission is. If you'd rather go direct, the partner name and the deal page are always linked too.
How is GrabLTD different from AppSumo, Dealify, DealMirror, etc.?+
They sell deals. We help you find and track them. AppSumo, Dealify, StackSocial, DealMirror and the rest are on our partner list, and we link straight to the deal on whichever platform runs it. The difference: we're a directory, not a marketplace — we don't take a cut of the sale price, we don't hide what tier a deal is on, and the Vault keeps a running picture of everything you own across all of them. We're an aggregator that tries to be honest, not a store that tries to be everywhere.
What happens when a deal I bought goes dark?+
When a deal is no longer being sold we mark it as expired or archived on the site, and it shows that way in your Vault too. To be clear, GrabLTD isn't the vendor — we don't build, sell, or support the tools, so we can't bring a product back or force a refund. What we can do is keep your Vault honest about what's still active and point you to the vendor or marketplace you bought from if you need to chase a refund while the window is still open.
Are the deals actually "lifetime"?+
That's up to the vendor, and we say so on every deal page. "Lifetime" usually means the life of the product (the vendor keeps it running, you keep your license) or sometimes a fixed number of years. We don't hide that, and we always link to the deal so you can read the exact terms on the seller's own checkout page before you buy. Because we're not the seller, we can't guarantee a "lifetime" promise — confirm the terms with the vendor or marketplace.
Can I track a specific tool and get notified?+
Yes. Add any tool to your Wishlist (the heart icon on a deal page) and it's saved to your account, so you can keep an eye on it and come back when you're ready to buy. Wishlist-based price-drop notifications are on the way — for now the Wishlist keeps everything you're considering in one place.
What is Spend Recovery?+
Tell us what you pay monthly for (Calendly, Notion, Mailchimp, Dropbox — whatever shows up on your card). We match each against the catalog of LTD alternatives and tell you what you could swap, what the year-1 savings would be, and how hard the migration is. It's the fastest way to see how much recurring spend you could turn into one-time purchases.
Do you sell my data or send me spam?+
No. We don't sell, rent, or share your email, your Vault, or your usage data with anyone. We keep email to a minimum — the essentials tied to your account, plus anything you explicitly opt into. You're always in control from your settings, and you can delete your account (and your data) whenever you want.
How do I suggest a deal you don't list?+
Email us at hello@grabltd.com with the tool and where the deal is — we review suggestions regularly and add the good ones. If you're the vendor yourself, apply through the partner program at /partners to get listed with a richer deal page.
What's coming next?+
A few things we're working toward: the Trust Score going live, smarter recommendations as you use the site, and more migration guides. We'd rather ship quietly than over-promise — keep an eye on /changelog for what's actually new.
